None of the GOP want to get near the “party of healthcare” moniker Trump tried to hang on them…because they have made their name for years being the party of greedy drug companies and insurance shylocks, who bankrupt the needy for medical care, while making the wealthiest wealthier by billions and billions. I don’t get it as a platform at all, but that’s who they are.
Look…not to preach, but make all the money you want. Go crazy. Buy yourself all the crazy ass shit you need to make it feel like a win. Be a complete and total idiot with your money if you want to, but only AFTER you make sure the weakest are provided for. You don’t get your second yacht and third vacation home until everyone gets medical care. You can’t have your fourteenth Ferrari until every kid gets a GREAT education. You can’t have your Kobe beef and sushi orgies until everyone gets three squares a day in a safe place. This is about doing the right thing. Being stand up guys, gals… humans. Trust me…the shareholders will all be better off in the long run. If you can’t do it on your own, the government will have to step in and do it.
It’s not socialist to want to take care of your own people…the greatest nation on Earth cannot neglect it’s children and expect to survive to call itself great for long.
