Giant batteries and cheap solar power are shoving fossil fuels off the grid

Power at 2¢/kwhr. This is how you create an economic boom…cheap, clean power.

Giant batteries and cheap solar power are shoving fossil fuels off the grid.

The Dalai Lama slams Trump for “lack of moral principle”

Will he or won’t he? Take the bait I mean.
Because I just don’t see how you say anything against HHDL. Will there be a Lama bashing tweet storm from the unholy orange ignoramus cheater in Chief? The man has zero shame, so I expect the worst.

No pay raise for House members after GOP balks

Good. I say we cut their pay, or better yet, pay them piecework. A fixed amount per bill successfully passed into law. That way they’d be paid to do their jobs, not just play party politics games with our futures.
But seriously, Congress is already overpaid compared to the average American. Congress members salaries should be tied to the income of the average citizen. The more we make, the more they make. If they create a booming sustainable economy, doing their actual jobs could be more lucrative than PAC money and corporate bribery.

Et tu, Ilhan? Twitter goes bananas as Omar explains why detention centers are ‘concentration camps’

AOC and Omar are correct. The detention centers on our southern border ARE concentration camps. Just because ignorant people equate the term with Nazi extermination camps, which were also both internment and concentration camps, doesn’t change the definition:

The American Heritage Dictionary defines the term concentration camp as: “A camp where persons are confined, usually without hearings and typically under harsh conditions, often as a result of their membership in a group the government has identified as dangerous or undesirable.”

While the Nazis were murdering 6 million Jews in their WWII concentration camps, America was busy locking Japanese Americans in our own concentration camps. We called them “internment camps”, which they also were, but Japanese people were imprisoned, “concentrated” in those camps, without trials or evidence, because our government feared they were a risk to America because of the war with Japan.
America didn’t send those Japanese prisoners to gas chambers, because OUR concentration/internment camps weren’t extinction camps like the Nazi’s. ALL concentration camps are not implicitly death camps…although the growing number of dead refugee children might say that the miserable”detention centers” on our southern border are working hard to achieve that goal.

Accidental Kitty Cat Filter Undermines Pakistani Minister’s Serious Livestream

I vote we permanently put kitty cat filters on all CSPAN broadcasts and presidential speeches, and during political campaign commercials and debates, all the candidates should be compelled to use filters that they think reflect their “inner animals”.

The Gulf of Mexico’s ‘Dead Zone’ Could Balloon to Over 8,000 Square Miles This Summer

Did you know that the Gulf of Mexico has a “dead zone”? How is that even slightly OK, and not a national fucking emergency? Seriously.
