8/9 Seems like just the other day when I heard the news that he was gone. It took a bit to sink in, though eventually the tears started streaming…I was playing “Standing on the Moon” as I wandered around my wooded back yard on that sunny afternoon. It felt like the world stopped spinning that day…just for a second or two, and then started up again with a slightly different rotation. A new spin. One a little less imperfect and more refined, but with a whole lot less heart and soul.
Time makes victims of us all…but we’re never really old and in the way until we decide we’re lost for good.

Perhaps someone should ask him directly what his stance is, rather than just berate him for being “critical of Israel”. There are many reasons to be critical of Israeli policies, but there’s absolutely no crime in striving for a world without walls and closed borders. Palestine and Mexico are just two places where the opposite is way too true, and divisions are being bolstered at the expense of innocent, good people.
I say kudos to Cory Booker.
