Join The Independent Party

When you think about it, the two party system is really the problem. Two parties is too easy to rig thru “creative campaign financing”, so the people have no real voice. Votes for unanswered promises aren’t really votes. Votes for change that never comes because Independent voices are excluded from the conversation because they don’t have party backing ($$$).

But there IS a third party already. Independent voters make up a substantial percentage of Americans. They just aren’t allowed to organize or really participate because they aren’t a true party. Independent candidates have to side with one of the two big parties to get a seat at the table.

Most of the founders never wanted parties at all. In the beginning, there were more than two. Somehow, it’s been Dem/GOP pretty much since the civil war. Two parties. Two choices. Often, none of them good.

My point is, why? Why isn’t there an Independent Party? Why isn’t there a path to Congress or even the White House for candidates who don’t want to be beholden to red or blue allegiance? Why can’t non-partisan candidates get a fair chance in elections? They would have to run on REAL issues and solutions, because they wouldn’t have a red or blue flag to wave. That wouldn’t be a bad thing.

Hint: It’s because the whole red vs. blue thing is it’s own sub-economy, which makes a certain subset of people very rich and keeps real power for change completely out of the hands of The People. It’s mega hard to get elected without the blessing of the powerful parties that control election rules and debates.

So…That’s why. If you were asking…and the solution is publicly funded elections (ZERO campaign donations. Congress should be working, not begging for change from constituents. Ask ANY Congress member, begging for campaign funding is the most hated thing in Washington).
