Can an Airplane Take Off on a Moving Runway?

Honestly, it seems like the author missed the point…

If runway is moving at 100mph and plane moves same speed in the opposite direction, the plane can’t take off. The plane may be moving 200mph relative to the runway, but relative to the AIR, its net speed is zero.
Planes have lift because of air moving under and over the wings. Move the runway all you want…if the WINGS aren’t moving relative to the AIR, no lift.
