Legal Pot smokers should not be restricted from buying a firearm any more than opiate or alcohol users, but because Federal Law keeps pot classified as an “illegal drug”, despite a majority of states saying otherwise, the 2nd Amendment gets thrown out the window. Someone who takes their medicine as prescribed should not be discriminated against or have their Constitutional rights abridged just because of irrational fears based on a “Reefer Madness” mentality from the 1930s.
