If so much of what I eat is dangerous, how am I still alive?

I’m sure it was all the clean living in my 20s and 30s… that’s what it was. If by clean, you mean clearly over most legal limits of…well, whatever.
I figure, everything will kill you… especially if you can’t say no when you’ve already had too much. Moderators will prevail. Over-doers will learn…or they won’t, and the ones who try and do EVERYTHING right, have a little damn fun once in a while! What good is it to live forever, if you don’t live WELL?

How to Become Less Afraid of Death

#Death. It’s coming. You may as well make peace with the concept, at least.
The easiest way: Live a satisfying life. Do things that make you, and the people around you happier. Anything else is a waste of time.
ps. #RegretSucks if you’re putting off until a tomorrow that never comes, you’re doing it wrong.
If today was your last day on Earth, what would you do? So what’s your excuse for NOT doing it? Are those important things you have to do REALLY THAT important?
You can’t blow off everything…being a fuck up isn’t a very satisfying life either. Trust me, I’ve been there (yesterday, I think). But sometimes you gotta ride that robot llama…so to speak.

If you believe owning a gun is your right, don’t hide behind prayer like a coward when 17 people are shot dead

With rights come responsibilities. You get to own a gun, but you must be accountable for the actions committed with that weapon.
You must keep it out of the hands of children
You must not use it with criminal intent.
Lock it up. Report stolen weapons immediately.
If someone robs a store with your gun, it’s your fault, unless you did everything reasonable to prevent it. If your son takes your gun to school and kills his friends, it’s YOUR fault. YOU should be charged, convicted and serve time.
One last thing…if you know someone who has guns and you think they may be dangerous and their intent may be other than good, say something to someone. Law enforcement must also be held accountable if they don’t take investigative or preventative action when they have been notified.
This ain’t rocket science.
PS. A double blind background check, where they can’t use the results for anything after you’ve been approved. There should be no registry of gun ownership. You pass the checks, you’re good to go…unless they get a ballistic match on your weapon. If denied on the other hand, you should be on a “no buy” list, pending your successful appeal.
They just want you to think these problems aren’t solvable, so they can keep us debating as they fuck us all right up the ass. You can have your guns, privacy and safety too. You just have to want it. #resist

Caribbean residents see climate change as a severe threat but most in US don’t — here’s why

You don’t even have to read the article to know the answer…most people in the Caribbean live at or near sea level, and their lives are likely to be washed away if sea levels rise. Also, most Americans are blithering idiots who believe what they see on TV, and think it’s someone else’s problem to deal with, just like everything else.

Oh yeah. Most of us don’t even vote. Which is kinda ironic, since most of us think #ClimateChange is one of our biggest problems.

Hopefully the lawsuits against the US Government will end this DEA Schedule 1 bullshit, that has been depriving Americans of medicine that can help them…for the past century. #TimeForChange

Jeff Sessions’ absurd response to the Parkland school shooting

Jeff Sessions once again proves he doesn’t understand anything about any issue of importance in America.
Nothing you said makes sense. There are no gangs in Parkland FL. Few if any mass shootings have been done by more than one or two people, and gang involved school shootings are NOT the ones that are even making the news…IF they are happening at all.
No, the school shooting problem seems to be typically a mal-adjusted white boy, with easy access to money and weapons. Columbine. Sandy Hook. These were kids who are hurting, confused, and often rejected by society, or who have rejected society because it’s so FUCKED UP. Fucked up by guys like Jeff Sessions and Trump, the elitist Congress and polarized Judiciary. Where does one find any hope at all anymore for a better future? Between the doomsday clock, climate change, and the HUGE, ever growing debt these assholes are burdening future generations with…the signs of a positive outcome are fleeting, invisible.
If I were a teen growing up now…well, let’s just say I’m glad I graduated high school long before social networks and the accompanying cruelty of teenagers. No time of life is more volatile than high school, and hope for a future is how you make it through those fucked up years.
People need hope, or they do crazy fucking things.

When New York sends people to Los Angeles, they’re not sending their best

True. Mexico sends much better humans to LA, I’m certain…but that’s because LA is an UPGRADE for them.
Most real New Yorkers think LA is lame. So, instead of our best, you get all our shallow, fad following, wannabe actors and surfers, seeking life coaches, legal cannabis and unlimited sushi. The rest of us avoid LA as much as possible, and worry a lot about our friends who live there.
