WTF is wrong with these communities that persecute those who try and help others? Government mismanagement and waste, if eliminated could, end poverty. But instead, a system where the poor can be deprived of necessities in hopes of driving them out of town is the preferred tact? Our society is not well if we allow this. Not well at all.
Folks, despite what the #GOP may try to tell you, making sure everyone has food, shelter, clothing, medicine and an education is NOT #socialism. It’s just human decency. Depriving anyone of those basic rights, rights of ALL human beings, not just the ones who can afford it, is NOT RIGHT…some would say, criminal and unconstitutional.
Allowing the rich to get richer and richer while the poverty grows worse is simply unacceptable and wrong. The money to eliminate poverty is wasted many times over on other line items…our leaders just choose to prioritize what benefits big business and not the People. We MUST compel Congress to act. on a BALANCED budget that puts the welfare of the American people FIRST, and then figures out how to save the world from….well, EVERYTHING at this point.
I mean…there has to be a better, cheaper, way to be the World’s Defender of Liberty that involves a LOT less lost lives and expensive bombs. Did I mention that this undeclared, perpetual state of war is also a breach of US and International Law? #Congress has declared war on no one, and yet how many countries have we bombed / continue to bomb?
Seriously. Think about it. What would we do if #Russia was doing what we are doing? Oh wait… they’re doing it too…#Ukraine #syria
