Anyway…What if we had FREE or SUPER CHEAP alternative energy instead of EXPENSIVE, Carbon based and government taxed fuels…Imagine the gain in profitability for EVERYONE.
The GREATEST TAX ON PRODUCTIVITY is the cost of energy used in production of goods and services. Imagine how much more money a cab driver would make driving a 100% solar powered vehicle or one that runs on water (Fuel Cell)? Apply that to EVERY business that pays for Oil, or Gas. Or electricity made from any fossil fuel. Even Nuclear. So, with just about every business and homeowner in the country likely to benefit greatly from a transition to alternative fuels, why are we so far behind the rest of the world?
ONE SINGLE ANSWER: Our Government.
How? First, of course there’s Tax Revenue for Uncle Sam. Every fuel…every source of energy is subject to taxation. But that’s just the start. Then you have to add in the cost of the government authorized monopolies which allow utilities to fix prices based on a target profits. Yup…Government Authorized Price Fixing via monopoly with GUARANTEED PROFITS. Those profits all cost you…and every business that uses electricity (hint: all) per KWH.
So, instead of encouraging, promoting and funding the RAPID development of and transition to Inexpensive Alternative Energies, our government instead exploits carbon cycle and rewards the traditional players, a few, select corporations, for doing the same.
We need REAL CHANGE in Washington. Vote Independent. Vote Alternative.
