Scientists just spotted 2 black holes flirting and dancing like awkward middle schoolers

I wonder what happens if one black hole eats the other?
I mean, “a burst of gravitational radiation that would send gravitational waves throughout the universe.” doesn’t quite cut it…does it?
Also, it doesn’t sound altogether so great for anyone living in the universe millions of years from now. Just saying, not that I will care much about it by then.

People still think eclipses are fire-eating dragons and doomsday predictors

I dunno about dragons, but it wouldn’t be Doomsday unless the sun goes black. So unless you’re planning for the holy solar fire to be extinguished, Doomsday MUST include an eclipse. Or possibly a big alien spaceship that is so massive it blocks out the sun.
I’m going with eclipse.

“Flying Pigs” installation will block Trump sign in Chicago

With permission from Roger Waters, pigs will fly to protest president asshat and his flagrant abuse of privilege and power. Chicagoans will not be alone when we all cheer his demise someday. Hell…If we hurry up about it, this could be a celebration rather than a protest! #Impeach45 #WhenPigsFly #Chicago

“The single day installation is expected to be launched in late August or early September.”

OMG Mission: Greenland’s Ice Melting Faster Than Previously Thought (Video)

OK…so a couple posts ago I was talking about when the ice that’s on land…not floating in the sea…starts to melt. In terms of sea level rise, ice that is floating shouldn’t cause seas to rise if it melts, since the oceans are already displacing the mass of the ice because it’s FLOATING.
But the ice that’s ON LAND…that’s a different thing altogether. When ice on land melts, the full mass of the ice, as meltwater, moves from land to the ocean. This WILL affect the sea level rise, and Greenland is a HUGE source of ice that’s not floating.
This can’t be a good thing…and the northern summer just started.

One of the largest icebergs on record is breaking away from Antarctica

Are you ready for the effects of an iceberg almost the size of the State of Delaware to drop into the ocean “any minute”? If sea levels don’t rise, will deniers claim that sea level rise from climate change and ice melt is a lie? You know they will.
Imagine though when the ice that melts is ON LAND, and not already floating in the sea?
Yeah, then they’ll have something to talk about.
