DUDES!! They want to give you FREE training to teach you to perform a job that is in demand now, safer and better for your health, and not in an industry that is DYING. It’s not just environmentalists that want to end the coal industry. Virtually EVERYONE in America would prefer clean, cheap, alternative energy to even the “cleanest” coal or oil.
Eventually, people will see the real costs…including the costs to our environment…we’ll see how much more expensive it actually is, building multi BILLION dollar power plants to burn fuels that have to be extracted out of the ground, transported to a refinery, processed and turned into an actual fuel, and then transported again to the power plant for use. That is EXPENSIVE. Solar and other alternative fuels are basically FREE after installation. You do the math.
So take the Federally Funded training. Start a new career before the coal industry leaves you unemployed. It’s going away…it’s not a question of IF, just a matter of WHEN…and it’s sooner than you think. Otherwise, please shut the fuck up when you find yourself out of work…you HAD an alternative. Probably more than one.
