Pink Floyd’s Roger Waters defends his anti-Trump tour

Why should he have to defend himself? He’s an artist. Art can be political. Art should question, and if necessary, be critical of the status quo. And you don’t have to be American to criticize the US…there isn’t a country in the world that doesn’t bear the brunt of American stupidity. Our leaders and their decisions affect every person on Earth…and it’s not always positively.

Back to the Future: Universalizing Resistance, Democratizing Power

Hey, there’s a GOOD thing about Trump (yes, I really had to stretch to find one) – He is SO bad at his new job that he is uniting people together AGAINST HIM, that would never usually talk to each other, much less agree on anything. He could single handedly create the greatest populist uprising ever in America…and Democracy could end up stronger for the fact that we HAD to come together against him to stop the fucking insanity.

I don’t agree though that if you’re a Constitutionalist, you want to fuck Everybody except white males over. The Constitutionalist who ignores the Bill of Rights is no Constitutionalist…just a major asshole.

One of the most common questions in American small talk is seen as rude in much of the world

A great example of how the elite are seemingly blind to the class warfare they propagate. “What do you do for a living?”, seems an innocent enough question. Sure, if you’ve got a great job, making tons of cake, and you’re itching to tell everyone you meet that “you’ve arrived”. But what if you’re a waitress struggling to pay the rent each month? Or maybe you hate BOTH your jobs, as a dishwasher and cashier at Walmart, but you do what you need to survive? Hearing about your awesome job will suck for them, almost as much as having to tell about theirs.
Think about it.
