I’m happy for the animals, but feel like I’m losing a part of my childhood at the same time. One of my earliest memories was going to Madison Square Garden to see The Circus. Truth be told, I’m not entirely sure I understand what makes me so sad…I barely remember it, and yet I feel like someone I knew just died. Weird, the nostalgic allegory of aging.
