I can’t remember the last time I wore a tie for work. The suit and tie mentality has been dead for twenty years. The idea that you do your best work while dressed like a dandy has never made any sense to me. I say, good riddance to bad traditions.

Infected mosquito experiment gone wrong. There’s a mutation. A few unexpected environmental catalysts. Next thing you know they’re calling in the national guard and the guys in quarantine suits…

I’ve lived through quite a few presidencies now. Some good. Some bad. Some REALLY bad. Pretty much all downhill from JFK really.
But now, I’m certain we’ve arrived at a new low. Not rock bottom, because he outdoes himself daily. But right there, on bleeding edge of worse.

Can an Airplane Take Off on a Moving Runway?

Honestly, it seems like the author missed the point…

If runway is moving at 100mph and plane moves same speed in the opposite direction, the plane can’t take off. The plane may be moving 200mph relative to the runway, but relative to the AIR, its net speed is zero.
Planes have lift because of air moving under and over the wings. Move the runway all you want…if the WINGS aren’t moving relative to the AIR, no lift.
