Are we all doomed if the magnetic field if the Earth shifts…If the poles flip?
Logic says no… it’s happened lots of times. But the last time was like 700,000 years ago, and we didn’t have the Internet and all these “devices” and electrical stuff. If the poles switch, there’s a good chance that all our technology may fail, too, #SoTheresThat Oh…and ignore your GPS because if North becomes South, who knows where you’ll end up.

Home improvement made easy: Five ways to find a wall stud

I use the time tested drill and pray method, (NOT properly mentioned in this article)…drill hole after hole in applicable wall or ceiling until a swiss cheese-like state is achieved and stud is found. Then I just patch up all those pesky holes with a swipe of some old, sorta watery sheetrock mud and make note to sand and paint someday.
