You can bring in the New Year by ringing in the New Year, so neither is right. But technically, you aren’t RINGING in the New Year unless bells are involved. So BRINGING is always right, and RINGING is only literally correct if bells are rung. Unless it counts when your ears are ringing. In which case I’ve been RINGING in the New Year for years now.

Stumped? Really? It’s happening all over. Florida. New York. Out on the west coast. Around the world. It’s either toxins or temperature. Or both. And either way, humans are at least partially responsible.

All in all, 2016 also sucked for Mother Earth. Between the oil spills, air pollution, nuclear waste and climate change, we turned up the pressure in an already stressed global ecosystem. Humans must come to understand, and approach, zero impact living if we expect to survive on this world.
