Obviously, the republicans learned ZERO — nothing — from the Democrats approach to healthcare legislation. Ramming it down the other party’s throat. That’s bad sure. But the GOP is up to much, much more…because they’re drafting the whole thing in secret, and planning to push it to a vote without CBO review. How can anyone be expected approve any legislation on something as important healthcare without thorough peer and budgetary review? #TrustUs And more importantly, what’s with all the secrecy? This affects ALL Americans, and should be debated in public.
This may seem like simple legislative negligence, but if you consider big picture, it is easy to see it as completely criminal. These people think they are above the law, and can abuse the public trust so blatantly without fear of reprisal. They are NOT acting in our best interest, but in the interest of themselves and their corporate sponsors only.
Only YOU and I can make sure they discover how wrong they are.

Yup. Diners and drive-ins. Because the rest of the world believes that we Americans still live in the gastronomical 1950’s. \
And then, there’s American Fast Food. In Argentina, Burger King is absolutely amazing, thanks to free range, pampa-grass fed Argentine beef. Also, you can get a burger with a fried egg on it. Just in case you were wondering about that.
I always wonder what McDonald’s would serve in India, though I’ve no desire to find out in person anytime soon, thanks. Veggie burgers no doubt. #HolyCow

Ethiopian Coffee Is Screwed Unless We Do Something About It

Will climate change be real enough for you when your cup of Morning Joe costs $30? Will you still deny that climate change is happening when there are only 3 kinds of coffee and they all suck? Will there still be “nothing we can do about it” when you have to drink “recaffeinated malted wheat beverage” because coffee and tea are extinct?

Personally, I won’t miss Ethiopian beans. But I bet the loss of one type of coffee makes other coffee cost more. Not to mention the fact that if ONE bean is at risk, how many other beans may lose their battle with natural selection thanks to climate change? Something to think about.
