Actually, that’s EXACTLY what it’s meant to protect, when the State tries to tell you what to believe…or makes ANY law that denies someone their right to their own beliefs…no matter how crazy…as long as no one is directly harmed, 1st Amendment rights are being violated. The State has no right to pick and choose which illegal activity they condone…like pastors flying high over their flocks in $40 million dollar jets which they believe God wants them to have…while denying an alternative, yet viable claim, in this case that Cannabis helps open minds and spirit to God. That’s NOT so ridiculous…and certainly defensible under the 1st Amendment. I mean, it’s not like they’re practicing witchcraft…oh wait…also covered under Amendment #1.
