Upstate NY…the part we live in is actually part of Appalachia. It’s not actually as bad as the Simpsons say, and somehow, red and blue voters have always been able to get along in the past. The truth is that everyone you ask cares about the same things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The issues they use to divide us (mostly religion and nationalism) are not as important as the price of food, availability of good jobs, affordable healthcare, and the freedom to live the way we each choose. I wish I could say I believed they cared about those things. They don’t.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The politicians, both Democratic and Republican, ALL only care about maximizing corporate profits, and that means making us get as little as possible so there’s more for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We all need to wake up. It’s not red vs blue. It’s all of us against THEM. The machine. The billionaire-owned beast that sucks the life from our blue collar bones, to line the pockets of the elite.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
