For those who may not recall history, the Soviet Union ended because it couldn’t support itself, primarily because it wiped out it’s treasury fighting an endless, unwinnable war in Afghanistan. Sound at all familiar? Like anyone we know?<\/p>\n

Let this number sink in: (in Dr. Evil’s voice, fingernail in tooth) $20 TRILLION DOLLARS<\/p>\n

That’s the US national debt, mostly due to 17 years of war without declaration or end. The interest payments alone are more $200 BILLION and growing, and exceed our education budget by many times.
\nWe’re doing the same thing the Soviets did, and our kids will pay the ultimate cost. We need to invest in our future, not in warfare and the future destruction of humankind.<\/p>\n
