Did you know today is a holiday around the world? Well, at least across the pond.
\nWe may call it by different names: Veteran’s Day, Armistice Day, Remembrance Day. But it all says the same thing: “Thank God, and the brave men who died fighting, The War is Over!”
\nWhen will today’s “wars-not-wars” end? What would we name the holiday that marks the end of 15+ years of undeclared war? #MissionAccomplished
\nThanks to the Election of Trump and the GOP heavy Congress, figure at least 4 more years of it. Are we not broke enough? At least $6 trillion of the our total $19+ Trillion National Debt came from spending beyond our means to fund “wars” around the world.
\nWe should learn from recent history…We should recall how occupying Afghanistan caused the downfall of the Soviet Union. The USSR went broke trying to “win” in Afghanistan. And they weren’t in Iraq, Syria, Libya…and God knows where else…at the same time.
